The minimum age to bet is 21 in most of the jurisdictions PromoEdge covers, and 18 in Wyoming and Washington DC.PromoEdge is intended only for people of legal betting age where they bet. If you are under the minimum age where you live, do not gamble and do not use this site's tools to plan bets.

PromoEdge does not take bets and does not handle gambling money. Our calculators illustrate the math of hedging and arbitrage, but hedging does not eliminate gambling risk. Odds move between placing your two bets, bets can be voided or limited, promo terms can disqualify a wager, and simple entry mistakes happen. Every strategy on this site can lose real money. These programmes are Michigan's own — other states run their own equivalents through the regulators listed above.

Online sports betting in Michigan is regulated by the Michigan Gaming Control Board. The MGCB publishes responsible-gaming resources, complaint processes, and the rules licensed operators must follow: michigan.gov/mgcb.

Michigan offers formal ways to lock yourself out of gambling:

• Internet gaming self-exclusion. The MGCB maintains a responsible gaming database that lets you exclude yourself from all Michigan-licensed online sportsbooks and casinos for a set period. Enrollment is through the MGCB site above, and licensed operators must honor it.
• Disassociated Persons List. A separate, lifetime self-exclusion program covering Detroit's casinos.

• Betting more than you can afford to lose
• Chasing losses with bigger or riskier bets
• Borrowing money, selling things, or hiding debts to gamble
• Lying to family or friends about time or money spent betting
• Feeling restless or irritable when trying to cut back
• Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, or low mood
• Letting betting crowd out work, school, or relationships
